What is UMRAH DIY?

"Umrah DIY" refers to planning and performing the Umrah pilgrimage independently, without the help of travel agencies or organized packages. This approach allows pilgrims to customize their experience, manage their travel itinerary, and often save money.

Here are some key steps for planning a DIY Umrah:

1. Research and Planning

  • Learn about the rituals of Umrah and the significance of each step.
  • Decide on the best time to perform Umrah, considering factors like crowd levels and weather

2. Travel Arrangements

  • Book flights to Jeddah or Medina, depending on your itinerary.
  • Arrange accommodation in Mecca and Medina that fits your budget and preferences.

3. Visa Requirements

  • Apply for an Umrah visa through the Saudi consulate or an approved travel agency.
  • Some countries are eligible for tourist visa

4. Transportation

  • Plan how to get from the airport to your accommodation and between Mecca and Medina.

5. Packing

  • Pack essentials, including Ihram clothing, personal items, and travel documents.

6. Performing Umrah

  • Familiarize yourself with the rituals: entering Ihram, Tawaf (circumambulating the Kaaba), Sa'i (walking between Safa and Marwah), and shaving or cutting hair.

7. Health and Safety

  • Stay hydrated and take precautions for your health, especially in crowded areas.
